PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos, 285-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 14.04 g, 12 h), uncertain mint 10, after 261/0. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΣΩTHPOΣ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; in field to left, ΠΤ / AI / monogram of ΩΞ. Lorber 455. Svoronos 402. Beautifully toned. Flan crack and the obverse a bit weak, otherwise, good very fine.
